چکیده

An air compressor is the core component of supply system a hydrogen fuel cell, which demands high efficiency and reliable stability in wide operation region. In this work, centrifugal for cell first designed then measured experimentally. Furthermore, test rig assessing aerodynamic performance established, includes pipeline, gas flowmeter, flow regulating valve, pressure transmitter, compressor, controller, DC power computer. Then, orthogonal method employed to conduct optimization. Four optimization parameters—including blade number, angle at inlet, outlet wrap angle—are set with three levels. Nine individuals are according method, numerical simulation implemented confirm pattern. Results show that number has greatest influence on compressor’s performance, inlet also very important. The optimal improves compared baseline compressor; efficiencies 81.3% 83.8%, respectively, improving by 2.5%. frequency domain fluctuation related stator-rotor interaction. peak value amplitude occurs rotation 833 Hz its harmonic frequency. comparison obviously reduced, especially near volute tongue.

Design, Analysis and Fabrication of a Meso-scale Centrifugal Compressor

A gas or vapor compressor is one of the key components of many engineering systems, such as certain designs of vapor compression refrigeration systems, cryo-coolers, air handlers. For meso-scale systems with linear dimensions of a few centimeters, conventional designs do not work efficiently because of rather large relative tolerances, and hence these meso-scale systems require micro-fabricated...

Optimal Design of a Centrifugal Compressor Impeller Using Evolutionary Algorithms

An optimization study was conducted on a centrifugal compressor. Eight design variables were chosen from the control points for the Bezier curves which widely influenced the geometric variation; four design variables were selected to optimize the flow passage between the hub and the shroud, and other four design variables were used to improve the performance of the impeller blade. As an optimiz...
